Patterned Glass

Pattern Glasses as designated by IGT are glasses with a texture impressed during manufacture by a roller. The glasses have similar chemical composition and properties as soda-lime float glass. Unlike the low iron and solar varieties, they have a similar greenish tinge as the soda-lime glass base would imply.

Although there are well over 50 varieties of textures and finishes available, the industrial glass marketplace utilizes two primary styles:

  • Industrex® has a coarse slightly prismatic finish that is a good diffusing surface. It is utilized in lighting and decorative applications. Click here for available thicknesses.
  • Pattern 62 has a coarse rippled finish that is utilized primarily in decorative applications to reduce finger printing or to obscure details for privacy.
